1. Each entrant will be expected to take turns at “driving” and “pushing”
2. The event will be run as a “knockout” competition over a series of heats with there being 3 runs for each team competing in a heat.
3. A ramp will be used to provide additional “thrust” for the competing carts.
-
The ramp will have a flat starting “grid” on top marked with a yellow and red line across it.
-
The yellow line will be the starting line and carts will have their front wheels on the yellow line for the start of the heat or final.
-
The red line across the track marks the point beyond which no pushers may go. Any starting infringements will result in a time penalty of 5 seconds being added to the time for the offending team for that heat or final.
4. The course has been designed for two carts to race against each other in any heat or final.
5. There should be no contact between competing carts. Any contact may result in disqualification if the contact was considered by the race marshals to be deliberate.
6. The competitors “run” for each heat or final will be timed and the winning team will be decided on an accumulated time for all three runs.
All carts will be safety checked by official scrutineers and once cleared to compete will be impounded until they race.
